To configure XPS to use prehandle planning, the XPS administrator must set the Prehandle subset of EC parameters.
At times, ECN4 might generate extraneous split moves. This is expected behavior. Depending on timing circumstances, CHE processing can result in multiple split moves that gradually migrate a container toward the target move-to position. You can mitigate this behavior somewhat by using the PHTLIT parameter.

Type: EC Parameter Description: This parameter determines the time horizon threshold, in seconds, for prehandle moves (housekeeping moves) in ASC blocks. When you set PHTMHT to xx seconds, XPS evaluates prehandle moves (housekeeping moves) for other prehandles only after xx seconds. If you have a large number of housekeeping moves, it is possible that the default value could lead to different containers being planned to the same position. Changing to a lower value, such as between 600 and 1200, should help ensure that housekeeping container moves are replanned to unoccupied positions.
